15 Classic Fords of the Post-War Era

Ford produced some awesome cars following WWII. Here are some of our favorites from 1946 – 1959.

1956 Crown Victoria

With only minor cosmetic changes, the biggest change across the Crown Victoria lineup was the introduction of a new 12-volt electrical system, and a safety package that included seat belts, a padded dashboard, a deep-dish steering wheel, and a breakaway rearview mirror.

1957 Fairlane 500

With its long flanks and tailfins, the Fairlane 500 was Fords top-of-the-line model in 1957. The OHV Straight-6, with 144hp was still available, along with 4 V-8 engine choices, ranging from 190hp – 300hp available.
