BMW Isetta

If you love odd and quirky classic cars, the BMW Isetta should definitely be at the top of your list. Take a look and find out why.

BMW Isetta

It’s time for a quirky classic car video featuring a BMW Isetta, likely the weirdest BMW ever produced.

This short video from Doug DeMuro spotlights the history and some of the unique features of this car, which include the door doubling as the windshield and a folding steering column attached to the door.

The two-seater has no trunk and features a 13 hp engine, with a top speed of 53 mph.

We think this video will definitely bring a smile to your face, especially if you remember the BMW Isetta. Watch and see if you agree.

Good stuff, right? I thought you’d like it!

Here’s some great pics of two Isettas we recently came across, a 1957 BMW Isetta 300 and a 1958 BMW 600.

Although the front end remained unchanged, the 1958 BMW 600 pictured below had a longer wheelbase and a conventional rear axle allowing it to accommodate 4 passengers. Powered by a larger 582 cc twin motorcycle engine, it could reach a top speed of 64 mph.

Well, did you like the video and pics? I truly hope so!

Hi, this is Greg, the guy responsible for this blog, and sharing awesome classic car photos and videos is honestly the main reason why I created this resource. That’s it! That’s all.

“But” alert…

Okay, right off the bat, an admission is in order. The truth is, I really created this site for me myself. You see, I’m always checking out classic car videos (like the BMW Isetta vid you just took a look at), and a cool site where I could share my favorite videos is really what I was after.

But I’m also somewhat of an opportunist. Why not just be honest, right?

I enjoy earning a bit of sponsorship revenue on the side, as I share these videos with you. Hopefully, you’re all right with that.

As you can probably see, I don’t pull any punches. With that said… Sales pitches suck, they’re not my style, and making money is not my key motivator for running this blog.

If my sponsors happen to entice you with their offers, cool! But if you’re just not interested, I won’t lose any sleep. I’m just glad that you’re here.

Sharing cool antique car stuff with good people like you is just plain fun for me!

And that’s the purpose that OldCarNutz.com serves. It’s a place for people who care about vintage automobiles to get together and check out some cool pics and watch some cool videos. If that sounds like something you can appreciate, then I’d love to see you again.

So join me again any time you feel like! I’ll simply be over here sharing more top-notch videos in the areas of hot rods, muscle cars, and vintage cars… among other things!

So stay updated…
