1929 Duesenberg Model J Convertible Coupe

The 1929 Duesenberg Model J is arguably Duesenberg’s most iconic car, and this car certainly does not disappoint. Take a look and see why.

1929 Duesenberg Model J Convertible Coupe

Here’s some awesome photos of a head-turning 1929 Duesenberg Model J Convertible Coupe we recently had the opportunity to see up close and personal!

The ’29 Model J is arguably Duesenberg’s most iconic car. Duesenberg only built the chassis and drivetrain. All bodies and interiors were built by custom coachbuilders and other specialists.

It’s the reason why no two Duesenbergs are exactly alike.

This Duesenberg, serial number J184, is powered by its original straight-8, a 420 ci engine capable of producing 265 hp and a top speed of 119 mph. This car also sports its original body and interior.

Originally priced between $13,000 to $25,000, the Model J was designed to compete with the biggest, fastest, and most expensive European luxury cars made at the time.

And this was at a time when you could buy a nice home for around $2,000.

We’ve seen all kinds of awesome classic cars, but this 1929 Duesenberg Model J is really a “Doozy among Doozies”.

We think you are going to enjoy these photos, especially if you are a Duesenberg enthusiast. Take a look and see if you agree!

So, did you like the pics? I hope you did and got a taste of what an awesome classic this car is!

Hi, I’m Greg, the person behind this site, and I’m really just here to share a whole lot of seriously outstanding antique automobile pics and videos with you. And that’s really it. That’s the only reason I’m here with you now.

Yes, a “but” is coming…

Okay, so to start on the right foot, there just so happens to be something important I need to tell you. In truth, the main reason this site exists is a selfish one. See, I watch a lot of classic car pics (like the 1929 Duesenberg Model J photos you just finished up with), and a cool site on which I could house my favorites is really what I was after.

Of course, I do see this as something of an opportunity, as well. I just want to be transparent here.

I don’t see anything wrong with earning a little money from sponsorships and vintage automobile product recommendations. I hope you don’t either.

I just wanted to disclose the fact that yes, I do make money from this site. But please hear me… any possible monetary benefit is incidental, and I’m not here to sell you anything. If you get the itch to buy anything from any of my sponsors, fantastic! But if not, absolutely no worries. I just appreciate your readership.

Income or no, I just wanna share antique car pics and videos with good people like you!

It’s for this reason that I created OldCarNutz.com. It’s just an “all under one roof” resource for both myself and others who are interested in vintage automobiles. Sound good? Great! It’d be great to have you over again some time.

So make this site one that you return to! I’m just gonna keep sharing cool pics and videos of antique cars, muscle cars and hot rods… along with lots of other things!
