Here’s some really awesome pics of an awesome 1953 GMC Suburban we ran across!

Considered the “sister” to the Chevy Suburban, this classic is powered by a 216ci (3.5 L) “Stovebolt” OHV I6 and a 3-speed transmission.

This 1953 GMC Suburban is a Model 3116, which had a rear tailgate, rather than the panel doors found on 3106 models.

It sports a split front bench seat, with two seats on the driver’s side and a single seat on the passenger side, which slid forward for access to the rear two rows of seats.

The second row was a “2/3” seat, requiring occupants to move past the front passenger seat, as well as the second-row seats to access the third row of seats.

We’ve seen a lot of cool classic trucks, but this 1953 GMC Suburban is one of the coolest we’ve come across in a while.

We think you’re going to love these pics, especially if you are a GMC Suburban fan. Scroll through them and see if you feel the same.

Pretty great, dontcha think? Of course, it is.

I am the fella who created this site, Greg Johnson, and I’m really here to share a whole lot of awesome classic car photos and videos with you. Honestly. That is the only reason I’m here with you now.

Okay, here’s the big “but”…

Alright, before we even begin, I’ve got a confession. To be honest, the realization of this site was, if I’m being perfectly honest, a selfish act on my part.

I love looking at classic car photos (like the 1953 GMC Suburban photos you just saw), and I honestly just wanted a place where I could house all of my favorites under one roof.

I also realize a good opportunity when I see one. I’m just being honest.

I love sharing great content, and I also enjoy earning sponsorship revenues and affiliate commissions… hopefully, you don’t see anything wrong with that.

As you can likely see, I’m not one to pull punches. But (and this is a big but)… hitting you over the head with sales pitches is not why I’m here. If anything from any of my sponsors interests you, that’s great! But if you’re not interested, no worries. It’s just really great to have you here.

Income or no, I just wanna share classic car pics with good people like you!

And that’s what OldCarNutz.com is. It’s really an “all under one roof” resource for both myself and others who are interested in classic cars. If that sounds like something you can appreciate, then I’d love to see you again.

So please visit again whenever you’d like! I will just be sharing more outstanding photos and videos on muscle cars, and hot rods… among others!
